Fashion and Beauty Breakfast with John Lewis and The Ivy

A while ago I found out about the local Cheltenham charity ‘Emily’s Gift’ created by Julie Kent MBE, to raise £500,000 to fund a psychologist on the Emily Kent Unit at the Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for 10 years, as it’s currently sadly lacking this support for all the children with cancer and their families.

I contacted Julie and asked if, as a photographer there was anything I could do to help with the fundraising. A little while later I was contacted by Olivia at John Lewis Cheltenham and asked if I’d like to photograph a Fashion and Beauty morning event she was running…YEEEAAASS..where’s my camera, let’s go!

I REALLY love fashion, I originally went into photography via an idea of being a fashion designer (not to be, as I possess none of the required textile skills!) but this gig was a dream!

It was a super glamorous morning with lots of brilliant fashion ‘looks’ created by the Stylist Team at JL Cheltenham and the talented Make Up and Hair Team, what a squad!

And just to give it extra pizzazz the fashion designer (and a long time fave of mine in the wedding dress industry) Savannah Miller was there showcasing some of new collection ‘Vivere’.

A really inspirational and gorgeous morning, where over £1000 was raised including a donation from me!
