It’s so important to make sure you find the right Wedding Photographer so you can feel relaxed on the day, I REALLY recommend meeting up or chatting on the phone, if needs be Facetiming or Skyping (although this does tend to cause me HUGE CRINGE attacks!)

There are normally lots of questions couples have and I really enjoy chatting about all the ideas and plans. But to cover off some of the practical bits here are some FAQ’s.

How do we book, what is required?

To book the date I require a £200 deposit, and a completed, signed Contract. The £200 is payable via cheque or bank transfer and is taken off the final amount. The Contract will be sent to you to read over and I’m happy to answer any questions on it, it’s very standard and self explanatory.

What do you need before the wedding day?

I will be in touch about a month/2 weeks before the wedding day, this is to check everything over with you, arrange a visit to the venue if necessary and ask you for the following-

Your Timeline -so I know the outline of the day and can make sure I know what’s happening when.

Your Shot List- the majority of the day will be shot in a relaxed and unobtrusive way, however I find people still like to have some Group Shots and I don’t want to miss any VIP’s so a list of whose who and around 8 group shots is recommended.

The Final Payment- I take the Balance just before the wedding. I remember our wedding day we just wanted to enjoy ourselves and have all the money side of things squared up beforehand.

Do we get all the images from the day?

Once I have edited and artworked the images, keeping the best and removing any with blinks or repeats I pop them on a USB and give them to you. I think almost every client has commented on how there are so many lovely images and they didn’t realise a lot of them were being taken.

How long does it take before our images are ready?

6-8 weeks, depending on peak season and my work flow. I remember how desperate I was to see my wedding photos so always send you a sneak peek and will do my best to get them to you asap.

Can we show family and friends our images?

Yes, I can create your own Online Gallery where your guests can view and purchase images, without having to hassle you for prints etc. Just let me know you’d like this option and maybe pop a link to it on your Thank You cards or online to people?

What if we decide we would like an album after the wedding?

I have lots of orders for albums after the wedding, I understand there’s such a lot to budget for before the big day and quite often couple choose to use their Wedding Gifted money on an album. It can be purchased at any time.

Will you use my images on social media or advertising?

I will always check with you via email/phone before using your images and ask my clients before posting any ‘sneak peeks’. The majority of my work is through past client recommendation so I love to post, blog, and share and I’d love it if you would too. Please let me know if you’d rather I didn’t use your images.

Will you travel to photograph a wedding?

Yes, definitely! The majority of my weddings are based in the Cotswolds and in a 30 mile radius, however I’m very happy to travel for a wedding and would never turn down an opportunity to go somewhere new! There is a small travel/petrol cost and any long distance may include the cost of a hotel stay and flights.
