I’m a real romantic.
I find life is best approached with a sense of humour. I appreciate life and all the happiness there is to be enjoyed and for me a fantastic way to do this is to photograph those moments, …that hand being held on the way to the ceremony, that golden sunlight, that beaming smile, the first kiss.
And those tiny toes of a newborn, then learning to walk on their own, the way they love to be tickled.
The love stories of family life.
I want to capture them to help you remember and tell your story forever. I love the quirky, I feel weddings should be really personal and love unique locations, alternative ideas and of course the dresses!
I’m all about keeping it natural, I prefer to shoot using natural light and capture natural moments, so more documentary style and definitely no ‘saying cheese’ or smiling for the camera, natural expressions all the way!
I have been a professional photographer for almost 15 years and was very fortunate to spend 10 years working at a top UK contemporary portrait studio, straight after leaving Plymouth College of Art and Design. I held the position of Style Director, in charge of the Photographic Department and won several awards for my work.
Working in the portrait industry was invaluable, I have plenty of technical knowledge and it also taught me to stay calm in any given scenario. To make sure people enjoyed the experience and felt at ease has been my top priority.
Personally things that are important to me are obviously my wonderful fun-loving family and gorgeous friends, my amazing cat, travel, exploring nature, being outside, especially near water, I love ALL things sparkly and love art and design-especially interior design and crafting!
